Copy trading

Follow a strategy on terms you control

Review available strategy providers, study their history and choose how much capital to allocate. Eligible trades are then replicated in your account according to the service rules and the controls you set.

Availability. Availability, provider selection and account requirements depend on your jurisdiction and BARS 8 approval.

Clear information at each step

Evaluate, allocate and monitor

Copy trading connects an investor account to a selected provider strategy. Results can differ between the provider and follower because of allocation settings, account equity, pricing, latency, minimum trade sizes and market conditions.

Performance history

Review available return, drawdown, trade frequency and activity data for each strategy. Historical results can change and do not predict future performance.

Risk settings

Set the permitted allocation and any available equity, loss or exposure limits before activation.

Account control

Pause copying, close eligible positions or disconnect a strategy through the portal, subject to open-market conditions and system availability.

Strategy selection

Use available filters to compare trading horizon, instrument mix, risk measures and fee terms.

Live monitoring

Follow copied positions, account equity, margin use, fees and provider activity from the dashboard.

Fee visibility

Review every applicable performance fee, subscription charge or revenue share before confirming an allocation.

Diversification tools

Allocate across eligible strategies where the service permits. Multiple allocations can still share the same market risks and may be highly correlated.

Three stages

Set up copy trading with a defined plan

  1. 01

    Open and read

Open and verify an eligible BARS 8 account. Review the Client Agreement, copy trading terms, fees and Risk Disclosure.

  2. 02

    Compare providers

Compare provider profiles. Consider performance over different periods, maximum drawdown, open exposure, trading style and the provider's own capital commitment where disclosed.

  3. 03

    Allocate and monitor

Choose an allocation and available risk limits, then confirm. Monitor the relationship continuously and adjust it when your circumstances or risk tolerance change.

Provider profile

What every provider profile shows

Each published strategy carries the same set of fields, so two providers can be compared on the same terms rather than on presentation.

  • Strategy name

  • Provider name or identifier

  • Strategy description

  • Inception date

  • Return

  • Maximum drawdown

  • Current drawdown

  • Risk score

  • Number of closed trades

  • Average holding time

  • Instruments traded

  • Provider equity

  • Followers

  • Assets allocated

  • Performance fee

  • Other fees

  • Open positions

Please note

Each profile also links to the full history and to the instruction to copy the strategy.

Before you follow

Copying transfers trading decisions, not responsibility

You remain responsible for selecting a provider, setting the allocation and monitoring the account. A provider can change style, increase risk or experience losses. Closing or pausing the relationship may not immediately close every open position. Leverage can lead to rapid losses, including loss of the full allocated amount and, where the applicable account terms allow, further liability.
